Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship Program

The Mayor’s Graduate Scholarship Program (MGSP) is an opportunity for full-time New York City government employees, with undergraduate degrees, to pursue advanced degrees at local colleges/universities.

How to Apply

 

1 Learn about MGSP

 

2 Find a participating school and degree program

 

3 Fill out an application

 

4 Write a letter of intent and send to the school

 

5 Submit to your Agency Personnel Office by due date

 

6 Submit confirmation to MGSP

  • Send MGSP proof that you applied to the school by the school deadline
 

7 Confirm submission with your Personnel Office

  • In early January, confirm your application was submitted to DCAS
 

8 Contact MGSP if email confirmation not received

  • Contact the MGSP office if you have not received an email from us by mid-January
