The New York City Existing Building Code (EBC) will govern alteration applications filed on and after July 17, 2027. The Department is working to publish 6 case studies of typical alteration types. These case studies are intended to demonstrate how the EBC would govern such work, highlighting Code compliance and significant applicable triggers.
NOTE: Studies will be uploaded to this page as the studies are completed.
