Since 2007, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) has funded and supported Community Partnerships across 11 neighborhoods in New York City.
Community Partnerships are groups of community members that collaborate to help create more effective, better coordinated, and easier to access human services systems. Community Partnerships make referrals for families to address their needs and collaborate to design programs to fill gaps in the community. Community Partnership members include health and human service providers, community/business leaders, residents, and others who are invested in the wellbeing of children and families.
Community Partnership members share resources and information with each other, design and carry out community engagement initiatives to help families learn about resources in their neighborhoods, and let families know who they can reach out to for housing, food, childcare and mental health care, and other services.
