The Street Harassment Prevention Advisory Board (SHPAB) and its co-chairs, the Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) and the NYC Commission on Gender Equity (CGE), conducted a survey of members of the public to identify people and communities most at risk of and most impacted by street harassment. The survey, conducted online and in person in the fall of 2023, generated 3,736 responses. The Street Harassment Prevention Advisory Board Resource Guide, 'End Street Harassment,' is an accessible, practical, comprehensive document that contains important information for New Yorkers on how they can prevent and respond to street harassment. The guide includes different steps people can take both in the moment and following an incident of harassment, either as a target or as a bystander, as well as resources available to support someone who has been harassed.

The Street Harassment Prevention Advisory Board was established by Local Law 46 of 2022. The Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence (ENDGBV) and the NYC Commission on Gender Equity (CGE) co-chair this advisory board. CGE sits within the Mayor's Office of Equity (MOE).
