Press Card Appointments

The Press Credentials Office will notify you when your application for a Press Card has been approved. Your Press Card will be issued by appointment only. Please click on the "Book an Appointment" link in your approval notice to book your appointment.

The Press Credentials Office is located at 1 Centre Street, Room 370 in Manhattan. The Press Credentials Office does not accept walk-ins. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding City holidays.

You must bring the following to your Press Card appointment:

• A valid, government-issued photo identification.
• Your expired Press Card, if any.

You must submit an NYPD report number to the PCO before you schedule an appointment if you are unable to surrender your expired Press Card.

• Report the lost or stolen Press Card at an NYPD precinct and, if you are employed, to your employer.
• NYPD will provide you with a Verification of Crime/Lost Property Report number.
• Provide the Verification of Crime/Lost Property Report number to the Press Credentials Office. Contact the Media Analyst who approved your application. You may also contact the Press Credentials Office at 212-602-7408 or at presscredential@media.nyc.gov.
• The Press Credentials Office will validate your Verification of Crime/Lost Property Report number.
• The Press Credentials Office will notify you when you may book an appointment for your new Press Card.
