You can call the City-funded, free, and safe MOIA Immigration Legal Support Hotline at 800-354-0365, or call 311 and say, "Immigration Legal," between 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, to get:

  • Answers to immigration policy questions
  • Information on how and where to find City-funded, free, and safe immigration legal help

Information About Visas

The Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs does not issue visas. Please contact the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or the US Department of State for more information.

Statistics About Immigrants

Visitors requiring statistics about immigrants in New York City should visit the Department of City Planning. Visitors in need of immigration records should visit the Department of Records and Information Services.
