The NYC Commission on Human Rights combats discrimination and fights to ensure that everyone can live in, work in, or visit New York City free from discrimination and harassment. The Commission regularly hosts and participates in events in all five boroughs of New York City.
Tune in to WHCR 90.3 FM on the last Monday of every month at 2:00pm for CCHR's radio show Rights Here. Right Now. Commission staff discusses different facets of the city's Human Rights Law live on the air and answers questions New Yorkers have about discrimination in the workplace, housing spaces, and public spaces.
The Commission provides free workshops to educate New Yorkers about their rights and obligations under the law. Check out our full list of workshops and trainings and what they cover. Many Commission workshops are offered virtually. Organizations and individuals can sign up, and registration is required.
