Department of Correction Holds Medal Day Ceremony to Honor Members of Service

DOC staff are recognized for exceptional contributions to the department

East Elmhurst, NY — The Department of Correction will recognize numerous Members of Service and civilian staff who have provided extraordinary public service with its Medal Day Ceremony on November 14, 2025.

Award categories include Meritorious Duty, Exceptional Merit, Medal of Honor, Certificate of Appreciation, Educational Achievement, Excellent Duty Ribbon, Unit Citation, Perfect Attendance, and Operations Ribbon.

WHO: Department of Correction Commissioner Lynelle Maginley-Liddie, NYC Deputy Mayor of Public Safety Kaz Daughtry, First Deputy Commissioner Francis Torres, Senior Deputy Commissioner Fritz Fragé, Bureau Chief/Chief of Staff Sherrieann Rembert, Assistant Deputy Warden/Deputy Warden Association, Corrections Captains’ Association, Correction Officers' Benevolent Association, and honorees.
