				Safety Conference

						Construction Safety Week is right around the corner, 
						which means it's also time for DOB's third annual 
						Digital Build: Safety, Innovation & Sustainability 
						Conference.
 Taking place from May 2nd through May 6th, 2022, the 
						conference coincides with National Construction Safety 
						Week and OSHA's National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent 
						Falls in Construction. This virtual conference is free 
						and open to the public, with many 
						courses submitted for AIA continuing education credits. 
						DOB's safety experts will also offer safety sesions 
						throughout the month.

						partnering with the American Council of Engineering 
						Companies (ACEC) to deliver an introductory series of 
						90-minute lunchtime webinars to discuss the significant 
						changes and major highlights of the 2022 NYC 
						Construction Codes, which go into effect November 7, 
						2022. The webinars are from 11:00am - 12:30pm on the

				New SST Cards For 
				Large Construction Sites 
					
						|  | Beginning 
						February 1st, 2023, all workers and supervisors on SST 
						construction work sites in New York City must have a new 
						NYC DOB Training Connect Site Safety Training (SST) 
						Cards.
 Since January 1st, 2022, DOB-approved course providers 
						have issued new SST Cards through NYC DOB Training 
						Connect, a web-based platform designed to streamline the 
						process of obtaining an SST Card. These new SST cards 
						have an approved uniform design regardless of which 
						approved training provider was used.
 
 Starting in February 2023, older SST Cards issued before 
						2022 will no longer be accepted by DOB as proof that the 
						required safety training has been completed.

						new updates to the DOB NOW Public Portal, including the 
						addition of a dynamic list of approved zoning diagrams 
						(ZD1) for jobs submitted in DOB NOW for which the public 
						may submit zoning challenges. 
						To view the list of approved ZD1s for DOB NOW jobs that 
						are eligible for public challenges, go to the 
						
						DOB NOW Public Portal, and find the "Zoning 
						Approvals Eligible for Public Challenge" tab.

				BIS Job Appointments 
				by GoTo Meeting 
					
						|  | 
						Appointments scheduled on or after April 20, 2022 in the 
						DOB Appointments system will be conducted online using 
						GoTo Meeting software and not by telephone. After 
						scheduling an appointment, customers will receive an 
						automated confirmation email with the GoTo Meeting link. 
						Appointments that were scheduled prior to April 20, 2022 
						will continue to be conducted by phone regardless of the 
						date of the appointment.
