A Special Event Construction Embargo will be in effect for NYPD Police Officer Wilbert Mora's wake and funeral starting tomorrow, affecting construction work in select areas of Midtown Manhattan.

The Department of Buildings recommends that building contractors and construction professionals in the area should refrain from any exterior building construction and construction-related deliveries during this time. Delivery and construction vehicles, such as concrete truck deliveries, heading to the area may also be disrupted.

This embargo is in effect starting Tuesday, February 1st at 12:01 AM through Wednesday, February 2nd at 11:59 PM.

New Yorkers with unpaid OATH judgments can still have related violation penalties reduced by up to 75%, thanks to the NYC Department of Finance's FAIRER program, that is running until March 20, 2022.

Launched in an effort to support homeowners and small businesses in particular, the Fine and Interest Reduction Enabling Recovery (FAIRER) Program allows New Yorkers the opportunity to pay a reduced amount for eligible OATH/ECB judgments, if the violations are certified as corrected with DOB.
